In addition, Microsens has sold millions of extraction kits for the commercial detection of protein aggregation diseases and is now making this technology accessible to the research community.

RapiPREP is a universal sample preparation system which extracts the pathogen and/or PCR-ready pathogen nucleic acids from multiple pathogens, including bacteria and viruses, from multiple sample types.

RapiPREP is an ideal low cost, high throughput processing and concentration method for use with samples such as urine, swabs, blood, plasma, faeces and sputum. Bacteria so far tested include, Mycobacteria (RapiPREP-TB), Chlamydia, Neisseria, Staphylococci (including MRSA). Viruses so far tested include Adenovirus and RSV.

The Seprion ligand range of products detects aggregated proteins. We have products for monitoring the aggregation state of manufactured therapeutic proteins such as antibodies and for detection of aggregated proteins associated with disease including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and the Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies such as BSE, scrapie, vCJD and CWD.
