Equiano is a rum company who are on a mission to revitalise a centuries old industry by attracting and converting new consumers towards a premium, lifestyle-focused brand through developing the world’s first Afro-Caribbean rum. 

Equiano is a premium dark rum that marries the very best of the Eastern and Western hemispheres. Blending tropically aged molasses rum from a world renowned and award- winning distillery in Barbados, called Foursquare which offers heritage and character, with that of a high-quality new world liquid distilled in Mauritius, we have created a premium rum that offers something entirely unique to the category.

Equiano is 100% natural, no additives, no sugar, no spices, just deep and rich in flavour. Aged for a minimum of 8 years. The rum category only really began premiumising over the past decade, so it’s premium and above tiers are still relatively new and are growing so we intend to capitalise on this growth.

The company sources rum from Mauritius and Barbados, to create a unique blend that will bottle and finish in  Barbados Foursquare distillery and the product will be sold around the world, focusing on key markets including the UK, USA, France and Germany. Ultra-premium products will also be sold.
